Text for a Higher Cause
The Way of the Mary organization launched a cellphone-based project by giving services like reciting special intentions through mass offerings (in the Manila Cathedral, Edsa Shrine, and in Baclaran, Ermita and Quiapo churches) or by including them in the prayers of Carmelite Nuns.
To join you can text "Mary" to 483 for SMART users (2.50/text), or 2219 for Globe (2.50/text), and 2823 for Sun subscribers (2.00/text).
All profits will help build 20 shrines ( for the mysteries of the rosary) from Ortigas to Antipolo.
You can also help STOP HUMAN TRAFFICKING by texting:
Rescue to 326 for SMART
Rescue1 to 2978 for Globe
Help eradicate poverty today
Stop Poverty. Make a Difference Today.
I came upon the MakePovertyHistory website as I was visiting Severo’s webpage a while ago. Well known personalities, like U2, are promoting the cause of eradicating poverty by wearing the white band as a symbol of their participation. You can add a white band banner on your website or blog to spread the word and help the cause, by visiting their website and pasting the script on your template. Even for a small effort you can make a big difference. If anyone knows how I can edit my friendster’s template (I can not find the scripts of my template), kindly post here how. I’ll very much appreciate it.
Wear a simple white band on September 10, White Band Day2 to give a strong message that we support this movement.
Women Rocks!
Last Saturday I watched the Same Ground Concert of Kitchie Nadal at SM Cinema 1. Of course we all know how talented she is with her song writing and everything, plus she’s oh so cute; but what really rocked that night, for me, was the opening act of Milk and Money ( with a female lead vocals, of course). Their rendition of Coldplay’s Yellow and TATU’s How soon is Now, was so powerful it gave me goose bumps at the back of my neck. They are promoting their new album and I just have to get that one. They even mentioned their website unfortunately I can not remember it (my butter finger head once again, sigh). Please, please, please, if anyone knows their website, mailing list, or friendster account please post it here – thanks! Kitchie Nadal also put up a talented performance and of course I just could not go home without taking pics and a video of her just before the show ended. I positioned myself just in front of the spot where her mic stand is and where she is performing and I got to shake her hand in the end (no kidding). It was like kissing the blarney stone (you know the Irish legend that says kissing that stone will give you the same gifts it bestows its owner?). Well, as for me, shaking hands with her would mean I could finally be better in playing guitar, yeah…yeah….okay so laugh out loud : )
the test ahead
I’m just taking a break from my review on the IELTS I will be taking up this September. URRGHH… I just have to go online. I have not even found the time to update my other blog. So many things to do, so little time. I believe I smell like newspaper (from all the readings I’m doing to keep myself up-to-date for the IELTS interview). Actually, I feel like I should wear glasses now, my eyes are about to come out of their sockets. And, three more replays of my audio reviewer will give me a British accent ( bloody hell! ).
just visiting

Cool Japanese, The Great Marcel Ayme, and My Other Blog
Found a great site today on Japanese fashion trend. I clipped some of the cutest outfit I have seen. Wish I can just fly to Japan today and have enough cash to buy from their trendy shops. Being a designer is one of my secret wishes (not so secret anymore). Anyway, here’s the link Japanese Street Fashion.

I’ve also come upon the English Translation of Grace, a short story by Marcel Ayme. You can go check it out at Stress Cafe. I’ve been searching for this for quite some time now. It is difficult to find because most, if not all, of his works are in French.
Go check out my other blog called Diet Prescriptions. If you have any questions regarding diet and nutrition do not hesitate to e-mail me and post your comments there.

All about Me
Finally, my own blog in Friendster:) What can I say? After an eye-popping session of trying to personalize my blog, and hours of debating whether I can maintain this one, I am here. I actually feel like a big cheese!
Here’s a toast to myself on venturing into this new project of mine ( what? another balderdash?). Anyway, here’s to my not hesitating!
